[Meet & Greet]

Ryan Cagle, born and raised in Knoxville, TN, is a lover not a fighter. Ryan is the music director for a local radio station and in his free time he is either sitting in nature, watching Real Housewives of Salt Lake city or dying fabric. You can also find Ryan hanging out with his friends discussing the ins and outs of Riverdale. Ryan’s favorite book is Down the Drain by Julia Fox, and he aspires to be a filmmaker in the future. His fat cat Max is Ryan’s emotional mentor. 

Alana Chavez is from Chicago, IL (actually, St. Charles, IL, but she thinks Chicago sounds cooler). She is interested in writing and reading, precisely mystery and on occasion, romance. She enjoys drawing (only sometimes)  and working out in her free time. She also has a 1-year-old dachshund poodle mix, who is a very important part of her life. 

Rylan Corley was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and has resided there for the entirety of his existence. His usual hobbies include reading, writing, listening to music, hanging out with friends, and thrifting. Some of his more unusual pastimes include, but are not limited to, dank and frankly stupid memes, random and feral actions and utterances, and other forms of tomfoolery. His creative area of expertise is poetry, although he enjoys thinking that he is an expert in every field of literary study. He does not own any pets, but he does have several friends and family members who are shorter than him.

Brooke Dixon is from Bowling Green, Kentucky, but has lived all over the United States. She loves to travel, specifically in Europe, and has tried a myriad of things from olympic trampoline to fencing to musical theatre. Brooke enjoys reading and writing fiction and fantasy and exploring different places through books. She has a beautiful chocolate lab named Cocoa and would one day she might want to own a cat. 

Chasity Drayton is a poet and creative writer known for her ability to skillfully weave together words to evoke life’s deepest emotions and to infuse raw emotion into her work. With a passion for connecting with others through shared experiences, Chasity has been growing her writing skills since childhood, and has dedicated the past four years to the art of poetry. Her thought-provoking verses offer a glimpse into her personal journey, inviting readers to explore the depths of human emotion to confront their own internal struggles and find solace in the power of words. Chasity’s unique perspective and heartfelt approach serves as a medium to touch hearts, using creative and relatable language to explore the complexities of the human experience.

Sara Hagar has held a love for reading since she was a child. After many years of acting as a reader, she has undergone a journey to become a writer. She loves writing fiction, prose, and poetry. One day, she would love to write a screenplay. To her, writing is a way of expressing herself, her imagination, and connecting with others. She hopes to publish some of her work and plans on continuing to write her whole life.

Quade Mainzer is from Hinckley, Ohio—home of the buzzards! He enjoys yoga, juggling, leaving voicemails, and solving murder mysteries. Quade’s favorite authors are Jaclyn Moriarty and Agatha Christie, but he is just as happy reading the poetry found within the New York subway system. Don’t hesitate to challenge him to an amateur game of billiards or invite him on a short jog with the promise of frozen yogurt afterward. He prefers to travel by unicycle, and cannot wait to perform his civic responsibility of jury duty.

Anna Murph is an enneagram 7, Sagittarius, type B, and she prefers to live her life with no plan (which stresses out all of her closest friends). She is a lover of any Shonda Rhimes TV show and prefers to spend her time with her two cats, Marcus and King Julian, who are her entire world. She is an avid baker and claims to make the best strawberry cake in the world (only her sister agrees with this statement). She was born and raised in South Alabama, which has given her an unhealthy love of fried chicken and a ringing reminder of her mother saying “There’s nothing lipstick can’t help.” She loves all forms of literature and will read any book you put in front of her, but her favorites range from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire to Jane Eyre.

Izzy Piper is originally from Chicago but is proud to call Alabama home. She has been writing poetry since elementary school but has recently found a love for sci-fi and surrealist flash fiction. When Piper isn’t writing, she can be found editing for her local publishing firm or reading the latest and greatest of fantasy and dark academia novels.

Erin See is originally from Austin, Texas. She wouldn’t say she is a writer, but that’s mostly because what she writes she doesn’t like to share. Erin currently works with Red Rook Press in the acquisitions and content editing teams. She has 3 boys constantly vying for her attention, Hops, Barley, and Charlie. All Germans Shorthair Pointers. Woof. 

Gabe Stadler is a from the middle of nowhere, also known as Sylacauga, Alabama. It is known for marble and meteors hitting people… He is a big fan of all foods and desserts with brownies and milkshakes being number one. He believes that Fruity Pebbles is undoubtably the best cereal. He’s interested in sports and video games. He loves hiking, rock climbing, and running. He has a dog named Sweetie who has white eyebrows. His favorite books, shows, and movies are anything that relate to a form of medieval/fantasy. He rewatches Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Game of Thrones at least three times a year.

Autumn Taylor is an aspiring screenwriter and author from Alabama. She enjoys art and media consumption of all sorts. Her favorite genres are fantasy and kids/YA fiction. Over the years she’s had over 30 different pets. Currently, she only has a very demanding supurrvisor and two dogs.
